Friday was a busy but I believe a successful day, “rugging up” Benalla. The majority of the installation was complete by around 3:30 on Friday. This included installations on trees and bollards along Mair, Nun and Carrier streets.
Here is the latest update around the progress towards our yarn bombing event – Benalla Rugged Up.
2019 Benalla Festival
Our annual Benalla Festival will be celebrated from 2-10 November 2019. It’s a celebration of our community, country living and community spirit. Most of the events are initiated and organised by community groups.
This year the Festival theme is “Fiesta of Festivities” – A celebration of events and festivals that bring the community together to interact, feel good, learn, celebrate and grow.
If you can help during July in bringing the materials together, please come along to the Gliding Club from 2 July. Benalla Yarnbombers will be setting up in the room from 10:00 on 2 July. Form that time, it will be available when the office is open, or by separate arrangement. The office is generally open between 9.00 and 3:00 on Monday to Wednesday and on Friday. To gain entry, drive around to the car park behind the club building. Along the path, there is a glass door. The room Benalla Yarnbombers is using is upstairs. There is a door leading to the stairs on the right to the back of the large club room. Further along the corridor is the office, and it would appreciated if you could let the Office Manager, Rhonda know when the room is in use. Please treat the facilities with care, and we will all get along with the club members.
Please find attached notes from the latest meeting (held 7th June 2019).
The next meeting is June 21st, 1pm, at North East Artisans.
